Eden Prairie, MN (March 16, 2016) – Global restaurant technology leader WAND Corporation today announces the official opening of its new 24,000 square foot headquarters featuring a state-of-the art technology center. WAND delivers Digital Menu Board and Point-of-Sale technologies exclusively to multi-unit Quick Serve and Fast Casual restaurants.
The sleek, stylish, contemporary offices boast amenities including; natural lighting for all team members, countless collaboration and breakout areas, full noise cancelling technology throughout the facility, a large “Rock Star” Lounge complete with kitchen, arcade games, pinball and TV’s, and unique showroom space to showcase WAND’s technology portfolio and products.
“It’s a huge step forward for our company and all of our employees. This reaffirms our commitment to our Rock Star team in building an enduring and great company that is competing with other innovators on a global scale.” remarked Dave Perrill, President of WAND Corporation.
The new building includes a unique new training, education and demonstration facility serving as a showcase for the company’s customers and prospects. Customers get hands-on experience with the uniquely focused Digital Menu Board and Point-of-Sales restaurant technologies WAND designs and builds in Minnesota. The new space, along with the Rock Star Lounge, can support groups of more than 100 visitors and will provide an ideal venue for hosting meetups and other events focused on the Twin Cities software development community.
The MN Department of Economic Development and the City of Eden Prairie participated in the renovation through the Minnesota Job Creation Fund (JCF). The JCF provides financial incentives to expanding businesses for job creation through capital investment in the state of MN. GreaterMSP advised WAND through the process and retained another growing business in Minnesota.
“WAND’s upcoming expansion is exciting news for Eden Prairie and the surrounding community,” said Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development Commissioner Katie Clark Sieben. “As a global leader, we know this expansion could have happened in a number of locations. We are thrilled the company chose Minnesota.”
To celebrate the event, WAND hosted an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony for employees, partners, and customers on March 10. WAND employees, partners, clients and local and state government representatives were in attendance to celebrate the new building and WAND’s future growth.
