WAND Corporation Donates Three Panel Outdoor Digital Menu Board to Charity
Eden Prairie, Minnesota-3 August, 2009. WAND Corporation announced today the donation of a three panel outdoor Digital Menu Board system to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. This replacement for a standard outdoor menu board features three 46 inch sunlight readable LCD displays mounted in a single enclosure, where each board has its own climate control system to ensure maximum performance. The charity auction was the highlight of the Dave Thomas Memorial Classic, a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids/Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption golf event sponsored by Wendy's FourCrown, a Wendy’s franchisee. The WANDisplay three panel outdoor Digital Menu Board was on display at the benefit’s banquet held on 07-19-2009 at the Wayzata Country Club in Wayzata, Minnesota. The unit was acquired by a prominent Wendy’s franchise.
“We’re pleased to have helped continue the tradition started by Dave Thomas of helping children that need permanent, loving families” said WAND Corporation’s Chief Operating Officer, Greg Perrill. “It also gives us great pride that a piece of technology we have given will continue to give back to the community as a useful tool that will promote featured items and is expected to produce sales lift for the store location that it will ultimately be installed at”, continued Perrill.
This three panel Outdoor Digital Menu Board is the latest addition to the WANDisplay Digital Restaurant solution. The Digital Restaurant combines operations, marketing, and the bottom line to deliver real-time control, reporting, and analysis for Quick Service Restaurants. Everything from menu board content to food cost is tied together in one database and maintained with one web based Enterprise Management solution. The WAND Creative Group handled the development of content and the integration of the Order Confirmation Display within one of the three LCD screens, eliminating the need for a standalone unit.
