History of the Company

Wand Corporation was founded with the idea of leveraging cutting edge technology to enhance restaurant operations. Founded by John Perrill Sr. in 1982, the original magic “wand” was a remote entry device (a simple hand-held computer) that would transmit orders taken from a restaurant dining room to the kitchen. This speed of service problem was brought to his attention by his teenage son, John Perrill Jr., who had a knack for technology as well as the world of restaurant operations. Shortly after the creation of the technology, a company called “WAND Corporation” was born. The family attitude and culture in addition to the original innovative and inventive spirit still drives the company today.
